Description : Mountain View Christmas Tree Farm is open daily 1-7pm weekdays and 9-6pm weekends, from the day after Thanksgiving, till Christmas eve. During the holiday season 700 trees go to good homes each year to share in the spirit of Christmas. In the past 25 years we have continually planted fir and pine seedlings. Over 12,000 trees are living in our forest, spending six to ten years growing in preparation for bringing Christmas into homes. During these growing years the trees clear the air of 200lbs. of carbon monoxide for each acre planted. Our trees provide habitate for many animal and insect species. Rabbit, deer, fox, bear, mountain lions, mice, hawks, doves, lady bugs, snakes, raccoons, skunks and moles are just a few of the creatures living around our farm and the surrounding Feather River canyon.

During the year we offer school tours for a $4.00 charge per student. Tours include 2 hours with farmers Joe and Anne and a meaningful list of activities to illustrate learning objective that relate to you age group curriculum standards. Students and accompanying adults and teachers may stay on the farm for an extended experience, lunch or other pre-arranged activities.

We are available on a limited basis for private parties, family reunions and weddings that use of the farm/canyon view for their special event.
